Dialogue between the nuclear superpowers is ongoing.
While the negotiations between the top officials of the US and Russia have stalled for the time being, with the introduction of new sanctions by the Donald J. Trump administration, the high-level talks are still ongoing.
Russian Direct Investment Fund CEO and Vladimir Putin’s special envoy Kirill Dmitriev arrived yesterday on the US for a long-planned trip.
His agenda includes a media blitz and a series of closed-door talks with several members of the Trump administration.

Dmitriev is Russia’s greatest cheerleader for renewed ties with the US, but in the end, he means to warn that ‘the language of pressure doesn’t work with Russia, cooperation is only possible when our national interests are treated with respect’.

One aspect that strongly unites the US and Russia, according to Dmitrtiev, is the respect for traditional and family values, and the rejection of woke indoctrination.
Dmitriev said nobody told him to be on Twitter/X, his goal is to show Russian perspective, which is ‘very NON-globalist, conservative, traditional values-based agenda’.

Wherever he goes, the Russian official is keen to remind people that Trump has pulled the bilateral relations with Russia from the edge of nuclear confrontation where feeble Joe Biden left it.
