US and Western Allies escalate aid for embattled Kiev regime.
While peace negotiations move slowly, the war in Ukraine proceeds unabated.
As Russian forces have methodically destroyed Ukrainian power generation and infrastructure, a new element is the fact that Ukraine has used Storm Shadow missiles for strikes deep inside Russian territory.
Today, a WSJ report says that the Trump administration has ‘quietly lifted a significant restriction’ on Kiev’s use of western-supplied long-range missiles.
That reported shift would allow Volodymyr Zelensky and his generals to escalate pressure on the Russian side.
Wall Street Journal reported (behind a paywall):
“The Trump administration has lifted a key restriction on Ukraine’s use of some long-range missiles provided by Western allies, enabling Kyiv to step up attacks on targets inside Russia and increase pressure on the Kremlin, U.S. officials said Wednesday.”

The Kiev regime has targeted a Russian explosives and rocket fuel plant in Bryansk with a British-supplied Storm Shadow cruise missile in what they called a ‘successful hit’.
“Ukraine used a British-supplied Storm Shadow cruise missile on Tuesday to strike a Russian plant in Bryansk that produced explosives and rocket fuel, the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces announced on social media. It called the strike a “successful hit” that penetrated Russian air defenses.”

“The policy shift represents a significant escalation in Western support for Ukraine’s war effort, allowing Kiev to use advanced Western-supplied weapons to hit military targets deeper inside Russia.
[…] U.S. officials said the change in policy was intended to give Ukraine greater flexibility to counter Russian advances, particularly as Moscow intensifies its own strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure.”
President Trump responded to The Wall Street Journal’s report later Wednesday.
“The Wall Street Journal story on the U.S.A.’s approval of Ukraine being allowed to use long range missiles deep into Russia is FAKE NEWS! The U.S. has nothing to do with those missiles, wherever they may come from, or what Ukraine does with them!” Trump said on Truth Social.
